CANTER: A HORSE’S GAIT WITH THREE DISTINCT BEATS AND A WINERY WITH THREE FOUNDING FAMILIES

We’re a family-run winery. With a shared history of horses across our three families, we draw parallels to them as a powerful symbol of tamed beauty – much like the process and history of winemaking in our region. Canter is our way of inviting you into our family and home that is the South Okanagan Valley. Our goal is to make great wines meant to be shared. We create memorable experiences in our tasting room and beyond, and make everyone feel a part of the herd.

Our tasting room is located between Vaseux Lake and the rocky cliffs just outside Oliver, B.C. We are part of the District Wine Village – the gateway to the South Okanagan. The Village is a unique concept, created by one of our founders, Matt Kenyon, built to celebrate artisanal wine production in a laid-back and light-hearted vibe. We’re considered a micro-winery, with low-volume production under 2000 cases per year. Not only does this allow us to keep a closer eye on winemaking but let’s us spend more time with you – our guests!
